Mother Bernardina Award
This award was established in 1994, and is named after the Franciscan Sister, Mother Bernardina, who founded St. Elizabeth Hospital and began caring for patients in 1866 in a house that was donated. This honor is awarded to an employee who has made significant contributions and who exemplifies the Medical Center’s mission, vision and philosophy.
