Our Vision
The St. Elizabeth Medical Center ministry will be recognized in the communities we serve for excellence in healthcare services and education and as the healthcare employer of choice and the preferred partner of physicians.
Our Philosophy
St. Elizabeth Medical Center is founded on the belief that all persons are created by God. As a Roman Catholic institution, we believe that each person has the right to life, including the unborn.
As we believe in the preservation of life; so too, we believe that the terminally ill have the right to die with dignity. We believe that each person has the right to quality healthcare with the same concern and compassion that our founding Sisters exhibited when they began this work in 1866. To this end, we strive to minister to the whole person to promote physical, spiritual and emotional wellness.
We believe that our most valuable resource is our employees and we are committed to their personal and professional growth.
We are committed to continuous quality improvement of all our services. We recognize our obligation to support and provide education, which enhances the delivery and quality of patient care. We will maintain our position as the major community provider of educational programs in Laparoscopic and Gynecologic fellowship, Family Practice, Professional Nursing and Radiological Technology, Endoscopic Gynecologic and Hospitalist medicine.
We will manage in a financially responsible manner to ensure our continued ability to serve the community.
We believe in the preservation of our natural resources and will operate the Medical Center in manner that promotes a healthy environment.
We believe that the cooperation with other community organizations is important to the delivery of quality health care. We will continue to develop programs, which respond to community needs.
