Our benefits team is committed to developing and implementing benefit offerings to our employees through a personal and professional approach. We strive to offer a comprehensive array of core benefits, supplemented by many voluntary benefit options. All employees have the opportunity to consult with a benefits representative after new employee orientation or any time throughout the year regarding these benefits.
In addition, we hold an annual employee benefits fair allowing employees the chance to meet with all our vendors. Union employees may receive other benefits as outlined in their collective bargaining agreement.

rendered by SEMC
SEMC offers employees a health insurance program that provides hospital, surgical, medical, vision and prescription drug benefits for themselves and their qualified dependents. If the regular full-time employee already has health insurance elsewhere, they may sign up for a waiver of insurance reimbursement.
An FSA allows you to pay for certain health care and dependent care expenses on a pre-tax basis, saving you valuable tax dollars. All health insurance premiums are paid with pre-tax dollars via the flexible spending account program.
SEMC makes available a fully paid group term life insurance policy commensurate with your position for regular full-time employees. You also have the opportunity to purchase additional voluntary whole life and/or guaranteed renewable supplemental life insurance at group rates.
SEMC has established a 401(k) Defined Contribution Plan as our retirement program. Eligible employees are offered the opportunity to enroll in the 401(k) Defined Contribution Plan and receive a generous employer match after one year of service. We also offer a 403(b) non-matching plan for those employees who are not eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan.
PDOs are a combination of vacation days, sick days and holidays. Employees receive, on average, 25 days per year.
SEMC offers regular full-time employees tuition reimbursement for courses that are directly related to their present job or the healthcare field.
This program provides free, confidential, professional assistance to help employees and their families resolve problems that affect their personal lives or job performance.
SEMC offers employees and their eligible dependents a discount on some healthcare services at SEMC, provided by SEMC employees.
SEMC provides employees with the opportunity to purchase numerous voluntary group benefits and pay for those benefits via payroll deduction.
