St. Elizabeth Medical Center, a not-for-profit organization sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis, provides inpatient and outpatient healthcare services to Central New York citizens. The Medical Center has 201 Acute Care Beds and is responsible for the operation of 13 Community Primary Care Centers in Oneida and Herkimer counties.
With over 2,000 employees, St. Elizabeth is one of the major employers in our area. Our payroll totals nearly $93 million a year.
The Medical Center is recognized as a Regional Teaching Institution specializing in five areas of education. In addition, the St. Elizabeth Family Medicine Center manages the School-Based Health Center located at Kernan Elementary School.
