Physical Therapy

Physical Therapists work with patients who have diminished function as a result of injury or disease. Our therapists work with wide ranges of patients with orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, pulmonary, pain, strength or joint mobility issues.

Within our Inpatient Rehabilitation center we develop a strategy together with the patient to improve and maximize function as well as to prevent additional loss of mobility. Our staff works closely with all health care providers working with you during your inpatient stay to provide the best positive outcomes.

Some examples of the activities we do are:

  • Evaluations

  • Transfer training

  • Gait training

  • Balance activities

  • Therapeutic exercises

If you are in need of outpatient care, Adirondack Sports Medicine Center located at the St. Elizabeth Medical Arts Building in Middle Settlement Road in New Hartford provides a variety of outpatient physical therapy services.
