Sleep apnea is a condition in which the airway is blocked, causing a person to stop breathing and wake up as much as hundreds of times a night.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea

 

  1. Are you a loud habitual snorer, disturbing your bedroom companion?

  2. Do you feel tired and groggy on awakening?

  3. Do you experience sleepiness and fatigue during waking hours?

  4. Are you overweight?

  5. Have you been observed choking, or gasping or holding your breath during sleep?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may be at risk for sleep apnea.

Sleep Apnea is a disorder in which you have one or more pauses in breathing while you sleep. Sleep apnea can increase the risk for high blood pressure, heart attack, or stroke.
