Volunteer Opportunities

Current Opportunities:

Ambulatory Surgery Waiting Room: Greet families of those persons undergoing surgery and keep them informed about the patient as information is made available

Business Office: File paperwork as per direction, make photocopies and pull Explanation of Benefit

Cardiac Cath Lab Waiting Room: Greet families of those persons undergoing surgery and keep them informed about the patient as information is made available

Central Sterile: De-lint and fold all articles of re-usable linen. Inspects items for holes or defects and wraps linen for sterilization

Gift Shop: Assist with Gift Shop operations by greeting customers, running the cash register, price, stock and display merchandise.

Greeter: Welcome people to the facility. Graciously provide directions and assistance to areas within the Medical Center.

Heart Pillow Sewing Group: Make pillows shaped like a heart to meet the needs of patients recovering from Cardiac Surgery.

Mended Hearts: These volunteers have had heart surgery and can relate to fears and anxieties patients have. They visit patients daily and share experiences. They ease concerns and demonstrate by their presence that there can be a full recovery and healthy future.

Mailroom: Sort and deliver mail and interdepartmental correspondence through out the Medical Center. Prepare outgoing mail.

Patient Advocate: Serve as contact person for patients and family members to promote an excellent patient experience.

School of Radiography: General office duties. Answer phone and take messages, copy and file, deposit confidential material for shredding, light typing.

Sleep Disorders Center: General office duties. Copy and file paperwork. Prepare charts for scanning.
